what is the best way to fit 32- 33's

    is the reverse shackle necessary is a soa good or swaping aome newer springs in what should i do while up front

    2.5" springs will do it...

    New springs are the way to go.

    so leave the shackles the way they are with the pivot in the front

    and just bolt in new springs no spring over what is the reason better in some way or prefrance

    Easier, fewer quirks to iron out and cheaper. That and soa gives enough lift for 35s, a bit too much for 33s.

    SOA results in more problems than it solves on a CJ-5 IMO. We've discussed it at great length in the Intermediates forum very recently.

    2-2.5" lift is good enough for up to 34" tires. Shackle reversal isn't necessary but might improve the off-roadability and lift the front of the Jeep a bit more.

    Many of us run a 2.5" suspension lift with 33s.

    Oh I run a 3" with 33s. ;)

    ok so is it a bolt in app. im up there right now fingering out the steering would those need to be in first

    Yes, they'll bolt up with a little effort. I would replace the springs, then measure up the steering. Here's a shot of mine with the 2.5" lift and 33's
