I Recently Obtained A 66 Cj 5 With A V6. My Question Is What Should It Have For A Drivetrain, Currently It Appears To Have A T-90 D20 Front Thirty With Auto Hubs And A Rear 20, I Found Atf In The T-case Which I Assume Is Wrong. The Front Driveline Was Disconected When I Got It But It Seems To Not Want To Go Into Any Different Range. The Shifter Goes Side To Side So I Dont Know What The Shift Pattern Is But My 76 Is A Sraight Shift Up Or Down On It And It Is A 20. Was There Ever A Single Lever Spicer 18 Ever Made. Any Help Would Be Great.

Yes, there were single lever 18's, behind V6's. If stock, I would have a D27A front, D44 offset rear with tapered (two piece) axles, D18 transfer, and T86 trans. That is, if it were a factory V6 Jeep. The single stick would be (from the rearmost position to the front) 2 Hi, 4 Hi, N, 4 LO..

The Rear End I Know To Be A Model 20 And It Is Centered So Maybe The T-case Was Swapped In. Is The T 86 A Three Speed?

Yup, T86 was the 3 speed used behind the V6 until '68 or so. Model 20 rear didn't show up until '76 from the factory, but there's no telling what previous owners might have put together... The transfer could be a D20, which is a centered version of the D18, or a Dana 300........
