I am trying to get some pics and info for my throttle return spring. This is on my 68 CJ5 with Dantless V6. Not using stock throttle cable. Any chance of part#'s?

I did a search and found one good pic. http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21396&highlight=throttle+return+spring

This one has a pic with a plate that holds the spring onto the cable. This is not a stock setup is it?

There were several others but they were so old the pics were all gone.

the mechanical linkage in the picture is mine
it is factory stock for a V6
the attachment points for the spring are factory stock
the spring in the pic is not
if I recall, the cable was used on Jeepster models ???

I've deleted the pics of mine.... I can get more if you like, but I'm not using a cable, the factory linkage...

mine looks like that one, but the mounting tab is straight rather than bent.

Hmm, OK so the tab that the spring mounts on (Cable or linkage side) is just hanging on the cable? Surely I see that wrong... Isn't there a nut or something to keep it from pivoting as the tension increases in the spring?
