OK, what am I doing wrong? great weather were having and wanted to put the O/D back inthe jeep. Problem is, it wont come off the truck. I got the lock ring off, now the 4 pronged washer is stuck. Won't move. Any ideas?

She looks wedged - give it a little turn to line up the notches and then tap it to see if it pops loose.

How did you try it? With a 1/2" drive extension?

This is the washer that sits on top of the lock nut. The lock nut uses a 1/2" drive to tighten it down. a 1/2 in drive won't fit inside the washer. 3/8s drive is too small.
Another reason on my list why I need a inside bearing puller....

Hard to tell from photo, but is it sitting flat on the lock nut. If its not it will bind. Only suggestion would be to get a hold of Herm. Send him an email with the photo and see what he says. If anyone would know, I would think he would....

It is sitting flat across the locknut. I will call Herm and see what he thinks. I'm sure it's something simple. Like most things......

Stuck by suction?? Maybe the oil's holding it on? Just a thought...

I've had them stuck with suction before. Try getting a 3/8's extension in it (works sometimes) and see if it will wiggle loose.
