I am going to be installing these Slots on my '71 (see pic) in the near future and was wondering exactly what lug nuts should I use?
Closed-end acorn? That's what I see in the Jeep history books on Renegades and Cherokee's with them.
Mag Lug with shank and washer (no taper)?

I want to do this right.

I tried a 1/2" mag lug but it does not fit in the hole at all-shank OD is too large.

Thanks for any and all input.

Thanks for the link to that info, jpflat2a!
That's exactly what I wanted to know.

    Polish:
I used a super fine polishing compound on them because they had a chalky residue from sitting for years.
To tell you the truth, I haven't even POLISHED or waxed them.
I have a can of billet aluminum polish that'll be applied right before I put 'em on my '71. Can't wait!

    Thanks again, folks!

I just recently put Renegade wheels on my 75 (in Missouri also). Any idea where I can find another one for my spare?

I hear you....I do wish I had a fifth, too.
If I stumble on one, I'll definitely give you a shout.

    What lugs did you use?

I just picked up some generic chrome's at Wally World - seem to work fine. They do have to be tapered differently than what is used on steel wheels, I don't remember but I believe the packaging states that they are for aluminum.

    Those are 33x9.5's.

To tell you the truth, I didn't "polish" the wheels yet.
I just washed them and went over them with super fine polishing ("rubbing") compound.
A REAL Polishing (billet aluminum polish) will happen when they go onto the Jeep for the last time.
