does anyone have any experience with these?? ive been thinking about bolting a set on, but don't know if theyre worth it. i know (technically) how they work, but not how well they work on the trail. also, do they provide any added lift over stock shackles?? front only?? rear only?? full set??

Stock hieght as far as shackle lift.
I have not run them but have more than a few friends who do, they all love them.
Try a search here in the tech sections. We had a good debate going about them.

The Revolver shackles unload the suspension when it's under power or when climbing. I've seen it a hundred times. Unless all you're going to do is run the twisties slow off road I'd put the money towards a rear locker. If you've got a locker you don't need to keep all 4 tires on the ground.

here dont get revolvers. buy some rear xj shackles since there a Y shaped shackle. make your own H type shackle that fits the xj end and the spring end, and wha-la. folting type shackle. i have a set like that going on my samurai and have about 10 bux in it altogether.

That'll give you a clamshell type shackle but will still have to twist the springs. The Revolver shackles twist so the springs don't. That allows for more articulation as you aren't trying to force the spring to twist. Nickmil

true but the twist isn't all that much, and the articulation from the xj set-up is well worth 10 bux. R) esp. on a trail only rig. even though these old jeeps fall apart on the trail ..
