    Hi all

Just ended up with a 60/40 front Cj seat that is as close to perfect as you can get. It is black

Do these have any value or are they just one of those weird worthless items??

    Thanks

What year of vehicle did it come from? I've got an old one (from the 60's) that I paid a good bit for a few years ago. It came with all the factory brackets, latches and both have folding backs, etc... I think it's a pretty cool idea and would make for a neat addition to my older CJ-5 cause it's not very often seen. The jury is still out on whether I will install it, however... OBTW, nice county there in the PNW. I grew up in Woodinville. (Duplicate post from over at the JU site)

Someone will want it. I don't think it has any value as a "collectible" or soething like that - someone would want it because they like the 60/40 style. Not easy to pick a value, since they don't come up that often. You need to know what year Jeep it came out of - I expect there are 3 different types of these seats: early 50s through mid 60s, mid 60s through 1975, and 1976 or later.

That said, it's not going to bring a huge amount, certainly less than a pair of replacement bucket seats. A good rule of thumb is that used is 1/2 new, discounted for condition. Stock-style front replacement seats sell for about $120 each and up, so take it from there.

I'd be interseted in taking those off your hands if you still have them. I want to have a little more seat area up front on my 74 CJ5 daily driver. Do you think they would be hard to recover or restore? Thanks
