just found out that the '46 cj2a im think of buying has a 'fireball v6' that was apparently installed by the jeep dealership out of a commando. dont know when or what year the engine is, but is it worth it to keep this engine, or rebuilt a 4cyl.?? oh yea it comes with an original WillysOverland accessory 2 speed hand winch!!

the "fireball" v6 is 198 c.i. and was made only from 1962-1963 by buick. many were swapped into jeeps, but a much more common swap and later a factory option was the 225 v6. if it is from a commando, it is likely a "dauntless" 225 and not a "fireball" 198. you need to confirm whether you have a 198 or a 225. read more here.....
