Stock CJ-2A Frame Boxing?

Anybody with a stock 2A frame able to stick their head under and tell me what they see? I was checking out the frame of my "new" '48 2A and it appears to be boxed from the factory more than my '53 or my buddy's '46. The boxing is in the usual places on the front - forward frame horns and around the rear spring eye mount. But then it goes from the spring eye mount all the way back to the rear bumper. Anybody else have something similar? I'm not complaining - it's just weird.

 

No 2A experience here..... But, I did have an M38 frame once that had additional boxing towards the rear.

 

The rear of mine sounds like its the same as yours. Although the front frame horns sounds like its different. Heres a pic of my front frame horns.

 

I've got one "necked" leaned up against the wall in the barn. I'll try to remember to take the camera and snap a few pics when I go out there sometimes this week.

 

I looked at a 46' tonight and it was boxed the way you explained from the rear sring eye all the way back. This boxing looks to be factory work.
