I have a 42 willys with stock 52 running gear. I have done a disc conversion on the front brakes. Im now looking to do the rear but can't find any information. I can't find anything to match up to the rear axles. Any ideas?

Is it 6 bolt on the axle flange?

If so, 73-87 1/2ton GM 4x4 front disk brake backing plates are direct bolt on. Also use the GM calipers and the thick CJ-7 rotors. A little notch ground for a nib or tab on the calipers and its a direct bolt on.

Here is the shopping list on my site: http://home.off-road.com/~artc/brakes.htm

Unless your axle is other than a 6 bolt flange for the backing plate it is the same stuff to do the rear.

I have an old Novack article at home about putting 65 Mustang disc brakes on the rear Dana 44. I will see if I can find it and I can scan it and email it to you. My dad ran this set up for years. We both now run full float axles with chevy 1/2 ton calipers and CJ-7 rotors. I also have an article about putting 65 Corvette discs on the front if anyone is interested.

Edit: I still have the rotors, calipers, and brackets in a box if you want to buy them.
