No third gear

    Went to drive my jeep to work yesterday . It had not been driven for about a week and it would not go in 3rd gear. All other gears worked fine but no go on the last one.I didn't have time to mess with it yesterday afternoon or today but what should I di or look for?

    Pull the top cover , Check the syncro for burs and see if any of the dogs are sticking up /out of place.When I first built mine about a week later I had the same problem some how it had gotten burred and I had to take a file and debur all those little teeth. Also if you run it low on oil you can sieze the syncro cluster (look at windrock oops to see how I know :rofl: R) ) . If thats the case get a claw hammer and beat the mess out of it R) R)

    So for this Hi Lift fix, do use a straight one, or a custom bent one? R)

    i did the same thing, only i used a crow bar. now i have 2nd and 3rd! my tranny was sitting for who knows how long and had barely any oil in it
