Well, I haven't been able to do much panel repair on Shaggy due to some honey do's that are keeping me occupied lately, but I thought since the carpet layers are here, I'd take some time to post a few pics of my progress, just to prove that I haven't abandoned the repair process altogether. Here are some before and after pics of the rear patch panels.

Sweet! Did you make those panels or did they come that way?

I made them out of 18 gauge steel sheet.

Nice work. I didn't recall seeing panels stamped that way.

Go for it! I can't tell you how handy they are. Even if you have just one jeep body to do. Pretty much all your welding will be either flat or vertical - no more overhead stuff. No more scraped off undercoat and grease in your eyes - because you can scrape it off the bottom of the tub while standing up. (or sitting down, if you're so inclined.

I tell ya guys, I've been to Tom's house, seen that rotisserie in person, and rolled his tub around with my own hands...it is toooo cool!!! I'm developing a serious hankerin' to build my own. Gotta make some room for it first though.

When I bought the jeep in 1970, it had 1958 Chevy Impala taillights. I kind of like them so will be putting them back in.
