After looking at my Scout 800, I realized that the glove door button is the same as the 60's CJ buttons. Just thought that might help create an additional source for that missing CJ button. :)

I've heard someplace that 60s-early 70s Chrysler glove door buttons fit as well, IIRC on some models these were lockable.

On this note, anyone know where you can get replacement keys for this button? I took mine out and hit it with some carb cleaner and then some WD-40. So now it doesn't stick, but I still don't have a key for mine.

A locksmith should be able to make one.

The glovebox door in my '59 seems unusual, there are two threaded studs where the button hole is. (and two studs in the lower left of this view...)

I have not yet found a button with ears for the two studs....

    Does this ring any bells?

The mounting bracket uses the two center studs, the lock mounts to the bracket, the other two studs are for the hinge limiter doo hickey.
