Hi all. Here is what i'm thinking of. I have a full set of 69 cj-5 leaf springs I would like to put under the 3A. I would like to use Alcan Orbit Eye Spring bushings with shackel reversal and Revolver Shackels on the inside ends of the springs. I have heard of some springs being mounted with shackels on both ends with a wishbone locater to hold the axle in place, has anyone else heard of this? I am also thinking of stretching the frame 18 to 20". Any advise would really be appreciated.

Got a bit ahead of my self. Alcan orbit eyes have to be built into their springs.
Deaver springs have "Baja Bushings" that look to install in stock type springs.
I was thinking of stretching the frame in the center right behind the front seats and adding a set of mini doors.

Not sure either. Sounds like a lot of engineering and labor just to use some skinnee and outdated leaf springs. I would just go with a set of wagonneer fronts and XJ rears for the simplest way to stretch your wheelbase and improve your ride and flex. It has been done enough and its a well tested method.

Why not just a set of holbrooks long leaves?
