I was just informed that my jeep is half and half. I found out the tub, front sheet metal & frame is intermediate, but the front axle as well as the rear are not intermediate & the :hurrican: was never in an intermediate. As well as the 3 spd trans. The windshield is intermediate too.

    what do you think
    was this pieced together?
what I dont understand is I know the history of it since about 1980. Why would they put on intermidiate stuff on at that time and not buy a whole one or a new one, seems expensive.
    :? :? :?

i know you want pics but I do not have time to wait for them to laod, go to my website and to photo 2 if you cant wait.

Maybe someone loved that the old Jeeps wrecked theirs and found an intermediate at the junkyard. Why??? who knows Jeep owners are strange people ;)

Tub + front clip + frame + windshield = not much else left. So it's a Frankenjeep. So what? They're just as fun. :) Almost everybody has something not period correct unless it's a faithful resto. Build it like you want it. Drive and enjoy it.

Are you saying your axles are early because of closed knuckles front and pass side offset diffs front and rear? 3 spds were common in intermediates.

With your long front fenders I'd say it's an Intermediate with Early running gear.

Well, legally it would be since the registration should go with the frame as I understand it.

What a mutt. Not that I'm one to talk. We won't go into how many different years are represented in my "71". ;)

....the possibilities are endless with that much room in the engine room. So now you not stuck with a four cylinder or v6....lesse I'm thinking 250 cubic inch Ford straight six with a T150 on that ford bellhouing bolted to a Dana 20....might even get by without any adapters, dunno....
