Well, been driving the JEEP to work this week. I got the new AMC/Ford/Chevy ignition installed and working, still needs some tweeking, tho... still having some stumbling issues, might be the carb needs fine tuned. (I'll take pics and describe what I did.)
The PO was a rather 'large' person, so he had cut down the seat brackets to lower the seat. I am not quite the same size, so I raised the seat back up... much better, and the steering wheel isn't at chin level!
Driving has been an 'interesting' experience, to say the least. I had the shimmy from H#!% at about 50mph up (but not very far up) and the 'Death Wobble' was a thrill, had the tires balanced and rotated and that took care of most of the shimmy, but the bump steer is still there. Searched the threads, and tried the tests to see if my caster was out of whack... it is!:( I have to turn the wheel to return to center after cornering, now I will check the actual caster angle this weekend to see if I'm neutral or negitive caster, and from there I'll see what degree shims I might need (5*-6* total positive is pretty normal, right?)
OK, I'm done rambling for now, I'll post some new pics as soon as I have the chance, because I know... :uwop:
    Cheers! Mike.

5 to 6 deg. is good you can ck it put jeep on level ground and put a angel finder on the flat spot by the ball jount to mesure. if some one put longer shackles on the front it will change the caster.
