Explaination on my weird engine problems...

    Alot of you guys gave me some really good help with my problems the past few weeks so I wanted to let you know what was going on in case you see something similar.

    The problems was a really nice idle, the timing set to what it was supposed to and the gap set correctly, but as soon as you gave it gas it would sputter and run terribly.

    The problem was the spring on the points wasn't strong enough. It wasn't reacting fast enough to function and was floating at higher RPMs. A changed set of points made it run beautifully.

    If I had to do this again I wouldn't have gotten the cheap no name napa parts. It's better to spend a little more and make sure the part works...

    Really? I've never been less than impressed with "no-name" NAPA stuff.
