I need to replace a small spring in my handbrake handle on the DJ3A. The spring that holds down the "clickers" in the ratcheting system on the handle mounted in the dash to the right of the Speedo cluster.
Local hardware guy and Krage Motorsports are a no go.
Anyone have any ideas on Spring Steel suppliers?
Most that I have seen sell by the 100ft roll.
I need like 8 inches, insert "thats what she said joke here"
    Anyone have any ideas?

I would try some one like a gun smith suppy place, like Brownells www.brownells.com. Gunsmiths have to make springs from time to time.

I bought some round spring steel rod in 3 ft. lengths at Ace Hardware awhile back. Try them or True Value. Or, if you can't find it, PM me with the size you need and I'll see if I can pick some up and mail it to you.

Replaced a gas pedal spring on an intermediate with a mousetrap spring once. Will that be enough wire? Too heavy?
