Where's the best deal (price/quality) to purchase sheet metal?

I'm in despirate need of new floor boards and rocker panels (where floor meets sides) as well as windshield and frame. As is everyone else, I'm on a budget.....

    Thanks

I find all my metal in the woods. Occasionally idiots dump there. Other times i've been known to bring a car battery, inverter and angle grinder to cut chunks off old smashed and abandoned cars. I'm sorry, this might sound ridiculous to you guys. Not me though, just recently I found four 4x4 sheets of 14ga sheet metal laying under the pine needles out there. They are being made into floor pans now, and the woods are a little cleaner. Oh yea, and no money spent.

Unfortunately, I do not have the skill set to do the work on my own......

I'm going to need to recruit someone with more knowhow and a shop to assist in this endevor.

I wish I could just find some scrap and form and weld it as needed.

Quadratrac.com and 4wd hardware offers panels that can be welded in to fit.

Some possible suppliers are Classic Enterprises, JeePanels Plus, Rigid Steel, plus the Jeep specialist places listed above. Pretty sure that each of these makes their own products... other places (ie JC Whitney) may stock the MD Juan parts. MD Juan supplies the only complete bodies on the market, but the replacement panel quality is said to be not as high as Classic, JeePanels, etc. Also, a lot depends on your location, since the shipping can be expensive.

Lots of sources. I'd suggest you do a search on each of these suppliers and look at the comments.

    Thanks Tim.....

    I was leaning towards classicent.com.

Seems to have good price - if they're quality parts.

Depends on how bad the floors are and where at, but sheet metal works well. I wouldn't recommend JCWhitney replacements. Bought one (yes, yes I know) and it was thin and didn't fit right. Bought a piece of sheet metal, borrowed a friends plasma cutter and welder, and away I went. The best way to do this is to make cardboard cutouts for a templates.
