Ok guys, I am buying a 1976 CJ5 (as soon as I hear back from the guy), and he sent me some photos of it (project vehicle, engine works but no fuel tank). Is there a place I could paste those for the educated to tell me if stuff looks kosher?

If you post a reply using the "New Reply" button, you can attach your pics to the message. I'd suggest you resize to say 600x400 max before you upload.

Post 'em up - we'd love to see them! :D

I was going to put up photos, but the movers packed up my PC with the photos on it, lol
I'll load 'em up when I get back with my PC.

When I bought mine it didn't have a fuel tank either.
Hey, look on the bright side, now you'll have a good new tank, new sending unit, and you can inspect the all the fuel lines.
Its like the guy did you a favor ;)

No big deal to put a new one in, ask him if he has the skid plate that goes over the tank.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting that stuff from Quadratec, unless y'all can recommend better (cheaper?) places. The Q-tec fuel tank is 100.00 or so. It may also need some cosmetic stuff, but I like cosmetics, its the mechanical stuff I suck at.

Putting the tank in is easy. It's taking it out that's a PIA. Make sure you get a brand new Stewart Warner sending unit for the fuel gauge and ground it well to the frame.

there's stuff that I need to clarify with the seller, but right now he's holding it for me, so I can clear up the questions later, hes sending me a spreadsheet of the stuff the jeep has or things he bought for it, so I can find out what I will need exactly.

Put Stainless steel bolts back in. :) If you have to get back into it later on down the road it'll be worth the litle bit extra $.
