Info on 72 Commando VIN

    Guys - the VIN on the 72 Commando we got is J2A87FVH04314. I have been able to decode the specs, but wondered if the assumption of it being the 4,314 th produced for the year was correct.

    Anything special about it? It has the 304, T400, D18, D44, D30 PS, MB, no AC.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    my book says the 1972 numbers started with 00001
    so I think your probably correct
    that would be the 4,314th Jeep produced for 1972

    AFAIK they are sequential including the whole Jeep line.
