ten inch brake swap

    looking for thoughts on switching out my front 9 inch brakes on my '56 for some 10's i had laying around. worth it? would i need to swap out the hubs and spindles too? thanks...

    straight bolt on
    backing plates and drums
    increasing brake diameter size is always a good thing....

    I've got 11 in on mine, the PO did them. I can't imagine trying to brake on the highway with anything less.

    i put a dana 30 with 11's in front of my 69, the 10's are off the 27 i took out. thanks again

    might have to redrill the top 2 holes IF you have a flanged axle. Otherwise unbolt the 9" and bolt on the 10". depending on how long the brake lines are, you might have to make new ones as well.
