Which would perform better cj springs or yj springs? im looking a the RE4.5 extreme duty kits they offer for both a yj and cj. i know that i will have to change hangers etc depending on the kit i get. just want some input on what you guys think is better? Reason for changing is that i am unpleased with the lift i have now the superlift4" and would like something slightly taller. What have yall heard about the RE kits? Do they have any issues with them as far a sagging etc. any suggestions about any other lifts in the range of 4-6" that give good wheel travel and hold up? Thanks

I put wrangler springs on my 74. By far the best riding jeep I have ever owned. The wrangler springs also flex significantly more. I have the BDS 3.5 inch lift springs with sua and clear 35s without a problem. Can't help you out on the RE springs.

I didn't change mine. I still need to do drive shafts and will probably do a CV shaft in the back. So if I do that I will change out the rear spring perches. I didn't use a kit. I bought CJ7 spring hangers and 2 sets of rear shackle mounts. I used BDS shackles made for a YJ.

Jeeptherapy, thats what i was gonna do was get the stuff from a cj7. i guess now i have to make up my mind, i have been looking at some of the BDS lifts as well for a YJ. The 5" looks interesting to me but so does that RE kit. thanks for the info and opinions.
