Alignment Question?

    I am going to get my 79 CJ-5 aligned and I have 76 waggie d-44 axles under it,question is what vehicle do I have it aligned as,the 79 CJ or the 76 Waggie??:?

    Im thinking get it aligned as a waggy. Basically all they'll do is set the toe and send you on your way, so in either case it shouldnt matter.

    Always base alignment on the axle application.

    don't you just use a tape measure on the inside if the tires .front to back .1/4" seams to work,, with a nice wear pattern. i'd be interested in what the are suposed to be set at. never had any problems setting it my way.

    I had my D30 very close using that method, the other important consideration is caster angle....getting mine set to 5+ degrees (with the aid of shims) made a huge difference in drivability

    Any alignment I've ever had they just check toe anyway.
