CJ2a tranny question

I'm looking at a tranny for my 47 2a. Its just rebuilt and has the following...
* 16 tooth main drive gear
* synchronizer assembly
* cluster shaft
* 2nd gear
* reverse gear and shaft
* small parts kit including all needle bearings
* 1st gear

This is a short shaft transmission for all 134 cu in engines

The guy says it has a 16 tooth main drive gear and a 35 tooth cluster gear the other type has a 18 tooth main drive gear and a 33 tooth cluster it's not much of a change.

How much of lower gearing is that? Is it a noticeable difference? Its a t-90a1, so I'm assuming itll all work fine, and with a little lower gearing, I think it would be better for the 31s I am running.

 

lower gear ratios are always better in my opinion.
