Everywhere I've looked, the smallest spring shims that I can find are 2".
My '73 cj5 springs are narrower than that.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

PM Mcgruff on this forum. He made me up a set. Very well made , reasonably priced and gets them to you fast. A great guy to deal with.

x3.....Mike can make you steel shims, the after market that you may find will most likely be aluminum .....you don't want that IMHO

You can make the 2" shims work. Takes about a minute with an angle grinder. I put them on and kissed 'em with the grinder where the u-bolts pass by them or do as stated above and contact Mcgruff. You are only talking about taking an 1/8" of each shim on both sides to clear the u-bolts. I just notched them. Definitely use steel whatever you do.
