Been checking the forum and was wondering if anyone has purchased a heater core lately for a 1969 CJ5 V6, I see that some online parts stores have some the the measurements are not the same as the one I have and the photo is different. Any help would be great.

I bought one for my '70 during the restore. The one listed would not fit. Spent awhile w/ the book at Oreilly's and found one that was very close. I had to shed about an 1/16" on the outboard side where the in/out tubes exit the box.:v6:

I knew you were going to ask that.R) I have looked all over the place and can't find it. I took my old one in to oreilly's for reference. There's only one that came close out of their entire catalog so it will just take some looking ,you'll recognize it.:v6:

In 2004 I did a complete rebuild on my 1970. The local CarQuest manager who was the previous owner for over 30 years would take the time to lookup parts for me. He found all the heater parts for me. All bolted right in. Heater core # HTR 279410 $59.17, Blower motor #HTR 208919 $34.43, Blower wheel/fan #HTR209116 $34.43. Hope this helps.

unless your heater core is missing, a radiator shop can fix it. they did mine for 35.00.

I bought an exact replacement from Advance Auto Parts about two years ago - in stock in the store. I think it was less than 30 bucks.

Radiator shop wants $100 to rebuilt it. The one that is in there now is a Harrison H69.

Still looking, I checked online at Advanced Auto Parts no heater cores listed. I'll keep trying. Thanks everyone for the help. The search continues.

Here in Northern NH, they are few and far between. I'll keep checking, Maybe bypass it but it would be nice to have some heat on those cool days.
