I know this thread will probibly start something but, what size heim joints should you use for steering links? My current project needs some steering parts to be custom and this just seems to be the best and most cost effective route. This project will only see offroad and trail duty.I was thinking 5/8 x 3/4 shank will that be alright for single sheer.

Does anyone make a heims with a 7/8 - 18 shank?I already have the 1 1/4" x .381 wall DOM and 7/8-18 right and left taps left over from the high steer conversion on my 79 CJ-5 so that would keep me a little closer to my buget:rofl:

These guys had a pretty good selection of heim joints:

Plan to replace them every few years as they tend to wear and get sloppy in a single shear setup.
