Something looks different about it....normal 2Gs look like + when you look down the throat. This one looks like +.

Tone do you already have the stock 2G? If not, I have a spare 2G that I'd be willing to part with. It's in pieces now, but it's only a quick assemble away from "rebuilt" status. I can include it in the box of valve covers if you're interested in them. :)

That carb has been modified for circle track (running WOT most of the time), I doubt it would be a good choice. I think someone has one in the for sale section

My experience with buying Rochesters on eBay is not good. I only have three of them. My guess would be that the carb in that auction will NOT work for you. Unless you can verify that it has the correct base for an Odd-fire intake, I would not buy it. Especially at that price. There are a wide range of Rochester 2Gs with different bases (that do not interchange). V8 units typically do not seem to fit the V6. You're better off going to the local autoparts store and asking for a carb that fits a 75 Buick Regal with a 3.8, than you are taking your chances on ebay.

If you have a used unit, you should try to match the base. I can post pictures tonight if you need.

That carb won't fit on the V6 intake. That's the same carb that's on my racecar, it has a MUCH larger baseplate than the 2G that was on my V6. Your best bet is a parts store...or if you can find a 2G off of an early 265 or 283 Chevy or the center carb off a Chevy 348 Tri-Power setup those will fit.

tone: That is a "Circle Track Carb". NO CHOKE! 500 cfm. In other words--Don't get it.

Have yours rebuilt professionally, or get a Holly 2300 and be done with it. Nuff Said!
