Has anyone here ever siped and grooved a set of 15-35-15 TSL Swamper's I am thinking about doing it to mine because they are about 1/3 tread and the edges of the lugs are rounded,I would like to sharpen them up and make them a little more flexible by siping the center lugs.Any thoughts or pic of what anyone has done would be very helpful !

Those big ole lugs ought to help a bit. I used to get into the cords every once and a while when grooving dirt track tires. Cleaning up the edges on all that rubber would be easy and worth the trouble. I haven't used that old groover in years. I wonder where it is. You know, one of these days I should have a race parts yard sale, just so I can find all the stuff I still have. I did find two almost brand new racing shocks the other day. The welded bearing ends were broken off each. I'm sure I'll find SOMETHING to do with them ... R)

I've grooved my 36" SXs. I'll snap a pic or two in the next couple of days. In a nutshell, I just cut across the rows of middle lugs making them half of a chevron instead of a full one. Make any sense?

John, I got an older model I used for circle track grooving years ago. PM me if you're interested and I'll dig it out to make sure it still works.

Both of those links are pretty much what I have. Mine is the Ideal brand and looks the same. It always worked well. I think I used to turn the blade over and used that for sipping. I dug it out today and it heated right up.

Not a problem, John. It's been in a box on the shelf for a number of years and doesn't eat much. :)

Grooving Thread, I'm in. A little late to the party, but the cutting made the ssr's grab a little better in the snow.
