OK, I'm new to the boards, so first off Hello.

I' ve had a 63 CJ5 for 15-20 years now and I'm just getting around to making some improvements. I have a set of 32x9.50 Super Swampers that I want to fit on the Jeep. The Jeep needs new leaf springs so I'm looking at a 2.5" lift. Any reccomendations on brand? I'm looking for inexpensive and have looked at the rough country and pro-comp so far. Should I expect any complications with driveline, etc with a 2.5"? I should note that I snow plow with the Jeep also. How about wheel size? I would like to use the OEM steel wheels but they appear to lack sufficient offset. I also have a set of OEM chrome wagon wheels from a 85 CJ7, I wonder if they would work? Do you think I will lose too much low end power by installing 32" tires without a gear swap? I only use the vehicle off-road and to plow. Thanks for the help!

9.5 x 32 should work ok on stock rimes. might have to put your bump stops out a little if the tires scrub. As for lift springs I went with Superlift and was very happy with them. Not to harsh a ride. 2.5 should be a good hight, you might get away with 1" springs and a little longer shackle. I did on the 3b. I run 32x10.5 super swampers on it. As for gearing you probably have 5:38's and it wont be much of an issue.

2.5" lift w/ those tires and stock wheels would be fine and looks classy on a classic Jeep IMO.

BDS springs are well thought of around here for a good, inexpensive, and complete kit. U-bolts aren't likely to be the correct ones though, you'll have to get them from your local store.
