Guys I may have bit off more than I can chew. I was going to replace the gaskets and oil seals on my Dana 20, but then I ran into a problem with trying to get the front bearing cap off. I took the shifter linkage off, then took the yoke off, then the front bearing cap bolts thinking it would slide off, but it only comes off about an inch and the shifter rods act as though they are wanting to come out, but can't. I thought the front bearing cap would just slide off of the shifter rods. Could any of you tell me what I need to do step by step to remedy this? HELP?:?:mad::(

The shift interlock pill between the rods keeps them from sliding out. You need to remove the gears and disconnect the shift forks from the shift rods. Then you can remove them one at a time from the housing. Then you can remove the front cover.

Look for the terra low dana 20 installation instructions on how to tear the t-case down and put it back together.
