So I went to the search section and I could not find anything on a t-14 rebuild. I need an overhaul kit for a T14 A -1. Where is the best place to get a good quality kit?

Well, I'm not the best guy to ask ablut this. I'm sure that Herm could tell you a lot about the parts he chooses and the import kits. I don't know the piece by piece specifics, but both companies claim that they choose high quality components to put together their kits. I've only used parts from dealership stock, but those are long gone.

A kit contains blocking rings (synchro rings), needle bearings, thrust washers, spacers, gasket, seal, snap rings, and input and output bearings. On T-90s, 2nd gear is sometimes replaced if the internal bushing is worn out - maybe that's available for the T-14 too.

The most obvious difference will be in the quality of the input and output bearings. You can buy top quality bearings or you can use cheap imports. Same thing probably applies to the rest of the components. A lot of these parts are generic and have many different applications. I expect you can buy needles made to a spec, in sufficient quantity. Stuff like blocking rings and thrust washers may be Omix or Crown parts. Call Herm and ask him ...

Herm told me he has has a rockwell tester and checks his hard parts with it to insure quality. When we talked he told me of the junk that's being imported. I would trust Herm.
