Help with power steering pump

    I am doing a power steering conversion on my 48 CJ2A, I got a guy that has a pump out of a 95 YJ, Will this work on my buick V6? I am getting everything from him, GM column, box, rods, steering shafts/stems etc, but i was wondering on this pump

    The brackets won't bolt to the motor and the pulleys will be serpentine instead of V belt. You can probably fab a moutn but will still need to swap pulleys. probably easier to find a proper Buick pump and mount.

    Wouldn't that pump also use o-rings instead of a flare seal?

    That really doesn't maetter. My box has an inverted flare and my pump has o-rings. I had my hoses made to fit.

    Ok, then I won't get the pump for sure!
    the box is out of a 95 YJ too, is that not the right way to go either?
    Will the GM Column out of an S-10 Blazer work?
    I am just trying to save a day at the wrecking yard pulling stuff, this guy is parting out a couple of Jeeps

    The yj steering box is fine. The column should also be fine, you'll need to do some dash work and floor work to make it fit but thats fairly easy.

    ok, do i have to get custom Hoses made for the GM pump to YJ box?

    So long as they're both O-ring or both flare not really.
