Right behind the carburetor on the intake manifold of my 225 :v6: is what I belive to be a vacume line. There is a small bit of hose coming of a metal nipple but the hose has been cut and I have no clue what it is or what it's function is.

Yup, heater control vac. line. Should have a 2 piece fitting screwed into the manifold. The center fitting os for the 1/16" pipe that the line is connected to.

Darrell: I have extra everything exept the silly vacuum motors which toggle the defrost and the floor heat. :( Might want to post a "Want To Buy (WTB)" ad in the appropriate section here in case someone has the vacuum motors and/or the rest of the assembly.

Yes. If you were standing in front of the grille looking at the V6, the heater vacuum port would/might be behind the intake to your right, and the (larger) wiper vacuum line in the back to your left. At least, that's how it is on my 2. If it's not there on yours, just look for a mysterious bolt in there and that's your vacuum feed. Plumb it and you're golden!

An FYI for those of you that want to nix the origional heater system. An early Bronco heater box is an excelent conversion. It looks like a smaller version of the later CJ boxes and fits under the dash on the pass. side. I've had one for 20 years and love it, blows tons of hot air and has hookups for the defrosters. I haven't priced one lately, but Tom's Bronco Parts in Medford Or. was selling them for $150 used a while back.
