    Great find.
I know the drivetrain and brakes work fine. My biggest concerns are short wheelbase and high C of G. What would happen if you had a blowout at 55 or 60, or had to stop short? I do drive mine to trail heads occasionally but now prefer to flat tow. Someone said it earlier, noise is a huge factor. After driving 4 hours at highway speeds I just want to sit in a quiet room by myself for an hour or so! Must be getting old.

Use the earplugs Jeff... makes a huge difference after a long drive. :)

In addition to using these for driving long distance in a CJ, I use these in the factory here at work and when I travel on commercial jets too.

    That’s a good plan.
I don’t wear ear plugs as often as I probably should because I really enjoy the sound of my motor. Don’t even have a stereo for the same reason, the engine is making the music I want to hear. ;)

great responses, however sad they may be. I must either do a lot of work or deal with the <75MPH. This would not be a daily driver, more like a curio, as it will not be used for 4wheeling. So, I guess most of you would prefer I keep it slow and low and restore or customize?

any of you in SE AZ?

yes, I am in S FL, I actually purchased it to drive around town, and for the pride of owning an old Jeep that's older than I am. Won't be here for too long, I'm PCS'ing to SE AZ shortly...I-95? more like die-95.

You need to see Glenn and Gay at Garmins (yes they have some parts).
They are on north state road 7 just north of Sheridan ST on the left.

    Pretty much.

Whoa there, that's totally your call.
One of the joys of owning a Jeep is personalizing it. Don't ever listen to anyone telling what it should be, make it do what you like and enjoy it.
