hardtop to windshield

ok so when I install my hardtop does it just screw into the windshield frame above the windshield?

 

Some have a latch from top to windshield. I have one metal top that probably screwed into the top of the windshield. I installed about 6 'rivnuts' or 'pop nuts' or what ever the official name is. Then I just used short stainless bolts through the top into the windshield.

I also did the same thing around the lip of the tub, so I could secure the top using bolts, but I didn't have to fool with nuts.

This makes it easy to remove and replace the top.
