If you search on the web there is a place in Atlanta that specializes in Buicks, they sell alot of NOS stuff they may have them, T/A performance i ma sure will have them but they may be expensive, but if you really need them then I guess you'll have to pay. The place in Atlanta does have a website, I'm at work right now and can't remember the name of the place or the web address!

Welcome Chris from NE Ohio. I actually know & played softball with another Chris Barnes. :) Where are you from?

I may have a spare rod bolt, but it'd be used. I forget what they look like, lol. Got a pic?

I am also looking for advice on carb selection. I have the origional 2 barrell carb abd intake, but it had an aluminum intake on it when I bought it, I have a 390 holley but it is the one with small circuits LIST 6299-1, I tried it but couldnt get it too run right. I put a newer 600 holley on it just to get it to run to check it out, but it is too rich.I dont think I can jet it down far enuff to be right on. I have been thinking about a 450 cfm holley, but have heard alot of folks like the two barrell.

Check with Ty. I think he had a 450 Holley for sale recently. He has an ad in the For sale section with the heading of tons of stuff for sale or 1700# actually. I bought some fenders and other stuff from him and he's located in Milwaukie, OR. Where in Oregon are you? I'm in SE Portland myself. Welcome aboard! Nickmil.

Edit: By the way, I believe the name of the company with Buick stuff is Kantner. Don't have any contact info though. Nickmil.

Second Edit: How many do you need? I have 4 good con rods from my old race 225. The bolts may be good in the 5th one also, would have to look. You may look at the rods and decide to have two more done up like them. They are bushed for floating wrist pins, stress riser's removed, shot peened, and balanced. Make you a good deal as they are just taking up space in my small garage. Thought about making clocks or something out of them. Nickmil.

best mod on the 2 barrel is lowering the float about 1/4". this keeps the carb from flooding the engine during off camber driving.

I was thinking mostly of the rod bolts. You could rob the ones from these rods if they would work. May have to compare to your old ones to make sure they are compatible. If you look on the For Sale board he has an ad I believe on the second or 3rd page titled something like "A ton of Jeep parts, or at least 1700 lbs.". At the top of each page are some numbers with a title of page # if there are more than one page in that thread. Click on the page # you want and it will take you directly to that page. You may have to search through the threads until you find the one you want. Once you get to that thread you can e-mail the guy directly or PM him. PM means private message and will put a message directly to him in his personal folder if you will. If I've screwed up the explanation I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be able to explain it better :). Nickmil.
