I have a 65 cj with '69 225 :v6:. For brakes I have put in disc in front and 11" drums in back. I'm thinking thinking of adding the swinging pedals. I have a later model jeep pedal bracket that also bolts to the GM type steering column. Both pedals would be to the left of the steering column.

In my searches I have not been able to find the proper way to bract the firewall ie the thickness of a metal plate and would it be better to sandwich the firewall with 2 pieces of metal? Right now I have a .075 thick piece of aluminum just to close of the holes till I finish the project.

Get you a piece of 3/16th plate, drill and cut it to fit in the engine bay and you should be fine. That's what I did on the flatty I used to have.

I sandwiched aluminum on each side that came from old street signs.....worked great.

I had a 75 CJ5 tub lying around so I removed the factory plate off the firewall which gave me all the correct hole placement to boot.
