I'm going to pick up my new windshield frame at 4 wheel parts today for my '75. I have waited 3 months as it was held in customs for a long while. I have heard of people having trouble with these, are there any problems I can pick up by eyeballing the frame before I bring it home?

    Thanks

About all you will notice is that it is noticably lighter and flimsier that the original.

The other (possible) problems are only apparent when you try to line things up with the existing body.

Yea you are right about it being flimsy. I expected worse though. I think with some body filler to touch up the indentations from the spot welds, it won't look too bad.

You could see the spot welds on the factory ones as well....

When I got my '74 the P.O. windshield on it.
I thought "great, no rust worries".;)
He had problems with the winshield wiper "locking up" on the jeep.
I thought "how hard could that be to fix, he must have something outta line".
It turned out the passenger side outside part of the windsheikld would "flex" and that would bind the wiper arm.
I screwed with it I bet 4 days. It'd work on the garage thinking it was a an alignment problem. It'd work GREAT in the garge, out I go, it'd rain I'd get 5-6 swipes and lock-o sock-o it'd bind!:(
I ended up making plates like 6" wide across the wiper holes to reinforce the frame pop riveting them on, (I didn't wanna weld or braze them on as the heat would weaken the sheet metal even more.
That seemed to fix it, but it looks like the dogs breakfast at the wipers.
