Just installed my new front ebrake cable and release handle but the old rubber grommet crumbled that went in the floor any source of this anywhere? I was thinking it looked like a PVC grommet but being its turkey day nobody’s open so thought I would just ask.

I remember the grommet. To me, it looks like a big rubber grommet of the type used to pass electronic cables through panels. Some sources might be electronics surplus places, or industrial suppliers. No time to look right now...

Yeah think I will try AutoZone in the morning I don’t need it to be water tight like the factory one I want be off roading just don’t want the floor rubbing against the cable.

My bad. I went out and checked my cable. I have not installed it yet and is still in the package. There is no grommet on it. The cable I have been looking at with the grommet is the old one lying under the jeep. Thats what happens when your old and senile like me. The new cable is made by Crown automotive sales. The # is 999978 . maybe you can call them and they may have the grommet or know where to go.
    Sorry for the mislead

Ok so I finally got factory part # from a guy after getting transferred to 7 Diff companies. Searched the internet and nothing so thought I would take a chance on calling the Dodge dealer in Houston and man there are 2 of these sitting on a shelf one in Irvine California witch is now sitting on my work bench and the last is in Chicago so if anybody needs better get it.

I just ordered mine from www.mopar-wholesale.com for $9.57 with shipping. It's about the only site that comes up when you google J5351742.
