I was at the local junkyard looking for Dana 27 gears (yes, I'm still searching for 4.88s) when I came across a mostly complete Tux Park. It has the hood emblems and 60/40 seat still in it. The bumpers are gone. Parked next to it was another early 5 with a 60/40 seat in it. They both appear in decent shape, but would need upholstery. Parked next to those 2 Jeeps was one with a rear mounted PTO gearbox. It had the PTO unit in the T-case hole with a driveshaft that goes back to the unit mounted on the rear cross member/bumper. If anyone wants this stuff I could get you the phone number of the place. It's located in Elma, NY, near Buffalo. I thought it was some pretty neat stuff!

I answered an old ad in a paper the other day and the guy says he has some old military jeep stuff. Yea!
How about 10 trannies and transfercases, combat rims, a CJ2A, engines, rims and lots of small parts. Says he wants to make it all go away.
So I'm selling all of it for him for first shot at the stuff and inside pricing on what I take. Cool!
He also had a 416 trailer and M100 that are fully restored.
I have a buddy by me that has no internet access that wants a PTO.Where are you located?

The junkyard is in Elma,NY just south of Buffalo. If anyone wants this stuff I could go ask how much he wants for it
The Tux Park had the column shifter in it too

I actually have three 4.27 geared model 27's and a 3.73 geared one. Feel like a road trip? Bring the pto assembly and we can work a deal.

What's a PTO worth? I know there are several different kinds.... I've seen a front mounted PTO at a junkyard not to long ago. I thought about buying it to resell but figured it wasn't worth much if it's in a junkyard after all this time...

I have 3.73's in it now with 4.27's sitting on the shelf... With the Warn OD, bigger tires, and the V8 I really need 4.88's to make it work right. I got a PM from another member saying he has a set. We'll see how it works out

You didn't happen to notice if the Tux had the tailgate mounted license plate bracket/light assembly on it did you?

No I didn't notice... I'll probably be back at the yard in a couple days. They also have a complete '54 Chevy pickup that I'll be going after.
