Need info. to convert dana 44 rear drum brakes to disc. Kit available seems a little high in price at $850.00 from quadratech. Does anyone have any ideas for a doner swap from another vehicle?

$575 from R&P. More if you want park brake. Best to call them as they are kinda old school. # is 503-557-8911. Located in Oregon City, OR (just south of Portland) and are open 9-5 PST

Here's a link that shows the kit.

Go to the products section, then click on brakes and scroll down. Their web site is very basic and only shows a small amount of what they do and have. Again, they are not computer people so their computer stuff is real basic.

As far as a bolt in from another vehicle, there really isn't one, unlike the conversion for the front that can be a bolt on. You can use GM caliper brackets, machine the axle flange down, and do some other adapting but it isn't close to just bolting on.
