Curious if anyone has a strong opinion one way or the other with regards to purchasing a new clutch fork for my 70 CJ5 V6. I've found them all over the place but what's got me nervous is the prices range from $9-$60 each? It's not a price thing just another thing I don't want to do again because I bought the wrong type. If not I guess I will pick one in the middle.

In case anyone else needs one in the future and reads this post below are the links to a few different places I've found them at.

the first link is for an F4, not V6
4wd.com and kasierwillys appear correct for V6
    rock auto, who knows

I bought one from Krage Motorsports (Jeepdoc.com) for my 71 :V6:. I believe it was an Omix-Ada and it did not fit at all.

The fingers that hold the fork to the pivot ball were not tight enough resulting in a very sloppy and loose fit. I ended up finding a used one. Just a heads up

I got mine from my local AutoZone, had to order it seperatly from the clutch/pressure plate and throwout bearing kit. I dont have the part number here at work but it was an easy lookup at AutoZone. It was a match to my original and it is a "LUK" branded part.

Yeah, watch out for the Omix units. I actually had to grind mine so it had enough throw to fully release the clutch. The ears that engage the release bearing were stamped uneven and too wide causing binding. Fortunately I checked it before the transmission was installed....

Thanks guys you answered my question I am going to buy the one from Autozone. I also deleted the link for the clutch fork for the F4 thanks for catching that and added the one for Autozone.
