anybody running a 80s cj power steering pump

    On your sbc conversion? what bracket are you using? got any pics? thanks.

    Should be the same as any other GM/Saginaw steering pump. They are a commodity item.

    Is there a reason you can't just use one with proper bracketry for a sbc?

    wasn't sure if the cj ps pump would use the same bracket as a gm ps pump.

    The bracketry works with the motor it's for because of offset, mounting hole differences, etc.

    I intend to go to a saganaw power steering setup on my sbc powered cj2a. So to be clear, I can use a jeep cj pump with a sbc bracket?

    The guts of the pump (ie function) will be the same, but the mounts on the reservoir could be different. If you have the pump on hand, try it.
