I just got a Whitco soft top for my 78. Are the tops for the Jeeps with a tailgat the same as the tops for a sold rear panel? This top came off of one with a solid rear panel and I have a tailgate. I took some pictures so maybe that will help. Click the thumnails for a full size photo.

AFAIK they use the same top for both applications.

Thanks for the help. The top has two sets of snaps on the back. One set goes straght across the back window at the bottom, and there is also a small flap on the bottom of the window with four snaps on it. The snaps across the bottom line up with the snaps on my taligate, but the snaps on the flap have three on one side and one on the other. You might be able to see it in the middle picture.

Those snaps on the window are probably used with straps to secure the window when it's rolled up......least wise that's how my Kaline top is
