I have searched the posts for where to route my emergency brake cable. I know where it should start and end, but what keeps the center of the cable from bouncing around and being burnt by the exhaust? It seems like it should be secured in a couple of places along the way. Does anyone have a picture of the cable looking down at it from the engine compartment?

Hope these help, there all I have right now. Mine has nothing on the fender holding except the tension of the cable it self. You can see in the one picture that I placed a piece of hose on it where it touched the fender to keep it from rubbing. Never had any problem with the exhaust hurting it. Note I have headers for exhaust.

With the exception of the bigger engine, thats how mine looks. It just seems there should be something else holding the cable. I used your photos from another post to figure out where the cable was attached to the cross-member. Thanks
