Frame fab 70cj6

    I did some serching and can't find anything on fab of frames from srach.I am thinking ofdoing a tube frame to replace the hacked up one I have.has anyone here done this?

    I have done a couple - I will also do another for my next project. I usually use 2X4 1/8 wall as the base. Square fitting with fish plates on the joints depending on how you fab them.

    Cool that is a size thinner than I was thinking but I assume you have never had a problem.do you have any pics by chance? TYM

    I don't have any pics (lost them in a move), but they have never had any issues that I know of (other friends and family have those frames). Good cross members, the fish plates and carry over for height change seems to have been good keys for them. One did turn into a plow jeep that I did some added work on when we put the plow on it, but have not seen that one in years.
