Dual fuel tanks

    In my 1970 stainless body cj5 I have dual fuel tanks, one under the drivers seat and the other in the rear under the tub and the rear seat. Can anyone tell me if dual tanks were stock for that year or maybe an option, or custom installed. If it was stock, what year did it come that way. there are pics in the link below

    Dual tanks were never available from the factory. Jeep used the under-seat tank, until it was replaced by the rear tank in mid-70.

    Adding the other tank was a popular owner modification though - still is today.
