How do i clamp the E-Brake cable to the cross member?

    Parts book says cable clamp.
This "claw" thing on the cross member looks like it should be involved
    in the ebrake cable somehow.(?)

but the Parts book nor the FSM don't show this very well.

The E-Brake wasn't hooked up when I got the Jeep.

I don't have a claw on my CJ5, but I just bought a small U bolt and then drilled two holes into crossmember. I then bolted the u bolt over the ebrake housing stop. I will take a picture later when I get home.

The claw thing is for the torque cable. Ball hooks into the claw and the attached cable bolts through the bell housing.

Moved to Early CJ Tech for better exposure. IIRC there should be another bracket the Park Brake cable attaches to. That's going from memory though...

    Thanks for the responses,

I guess I need to look into the torque cable too.

dug my e-brake cable out. It looks like the original clamp, but for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how it mounts to the crossmember.

    OUTSTANDING !!!

I'll get it mounted somehow. I might have seen a clip like that in a spare/unknown parts box.

i think I even saw the torque cable in a box of parts.

Torque cable may not even be necessary. Mine doesn't have one, and hasn't had one. I didn't even know it was missing until some one said something about them.

The e-brake cable mount is mounted to the cross-member just to the inside of the upward bend from where the cross-member is parallel to the floor. Or gound, which ever you prefer. At least it is on mine.

right between the mount for the ball end of the torque cable and the mount for the tranny/tc.
